Although there are several places in the Untied States that can provide spring breakers with everything they may possibly need to enjoy and unwind, many students choose to travel out of the country for several reasons.

The city of Tijuana in Baja California is one of the several favorite spring break destinations. In fact, the city has developed a reputation over the years as a wild and enjoyable city, especially for students on spring break looking to unwind and have a good time. For one, the city of Tijuana is very close to the United States and is very easy to visit. The peninsula of Baja California is located a the immediate south of San Diego, California and visiting its beautiful lands easy and convenient. You can take the plane, a yacht, a cab or a shuttle bus to Tijuana from downtown San Diego. Another reason for why Tijuana is such a famous spring break destination is the fact that the city offers several sources of entertainment that may not necessarily be possible to have in the Untied States. The legal drinking age in Tijuana for instance is just 18 years old compared to America's drinking age which is 21. Casinos, racetracks and bullfighting arenas aplenty can also be found in Tijuana, not to mention the red light district called Zona Norte.

Speaking of bars, Tijuana is also a famous drinking capital. The city has dozens of nightclubs, pubs and bars, many of which are found along the famous Avenida Revolucion, Zona Rio and Zona Norte. You can find anything from discotheques, salsa clubs, jazz bars, beach bars, gay bars and sports bars in this Mexican city.

Low prices is also something which Tijuana Citycan boast of and it is one of the main reasons why the city is such a popular spring break destination. Many people would in fact say that that the city of Tijuana offers low prices on just about anything. If you are a student with a limited budget and a couple of days of freedom, you would want to make the most of your money and your experience. Everything from lodging accommodations, food, rental equipment and shopping items are cheaper in Tijuana. For a few bucks, you can order several bottles of tequila or margarita in a bar in Tijuana while most bars and nightclubs in the United States ask for more than twice or thrice the price you can get in Tijuana.
