Fishing Pleasure in Baja
Baja is not simply sun and beach pleasure. This is something that you would surely state when you spend your vacation in this lovely place in Mexico. Believe me you will, I did the same! Besides sunbathing and swimming in the clear waters of Baja beaches, there are still plenty of activities that you can spend time with during your Baja vacation.
While you can name a number of things that you can do, one of the most unforgettable moments of mine is when we engaged in a Baja fishing spree. This sure spelled real fun to me and my friends. It is undeniable that what we heard about the seas of Baja having lots of fishes waiting to be caught is indeed a fact and not just a false claim. Located between two bodies of water that is so large being the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez; there is a basis as to how come lots of fish species are present in this location.
During our own fishing engagement, we happen to see other groups prepare their own fishing reels ready to make the catch of the day. There are hobbyists as well as competitive ones since sport fishing is also very popular in Baja. After long hours of fishing, we found lots of people flock to see the catch of many fishermen of both nature. Big tuna, blue marlin, snapper and swordfish are there lying in front of us with the fishermen very proud of their catch. The sight was a very pleasant one. Imagine the pride of the lucky fishermen; big smile really painted on their face.
I was also able to discover that there is another exciting fishing adventure for the more enthusiatic ones - spear fishing. In this type of fishing, the fisherman will go under the water and wait for a prey, can be a marlin or tuna or any big fish specie that they want. Once target is seen, the fisherman will spear the target and bring it up to the service. For those looking for a more adventurous fishing experience, spear fishing is definitely worth the try.
The tamer breed of tourist fishermen resort to the traditional practice of renting a boat and move on to the sea hoping to get the catch of the day into their own fishing reels and rods. For any type of fishermen, Baja can surely offer pleasant fishing experience incomparable to any other place in the world.
