Policy and Member Conduct

Hotmail: Not an Anonymous Email Service.
At Hotmail, the registered First Name and Last Name are sent with each email, no "handles" or nicknames are substituted. Additionally, each email sent from a Hotmail account includes the IP (Internet Protocol) address from which the login session originated. With this additional header information, the source of a message can be narrowed dramatically. Additionally, all logins, including IP numbers, dates and times are recorded and stored.

If you desire an anonymous account, do not use Hotmail, please search the internet for such services.

Hotmail: No Spamming.
We don't tolerate our users being the victims of junk email. We are equally intolerant of Hotmail users sending junk email. Sending junk email from a Hotmail account is cause for that account's termination.

Hotmail promotes responsible Net Commerce and is actively boycotting Internet spam. Our efforts to fight spam on the Internet have been noticed by organizations such as spam.abuse.net who find Hotmail's policies on spam to be good.

The following is extracted from the Hotmail Terms of Service Agreement entered with each subscriber.
