Here's a real cool one from Volkswagen themselves, it's a prototype Bus from 1978 with 4WD.  Not really 100% true to the baja style but pretty neat anyway!!   Imagine this thing lifted to the max with a V8 shoved up the back.  I'd love to build one.

I don't know anything about this next Bus except that its running on Mercedes wheels, so I thought I'd put it up here.  It also shows that even a Vanagon, with its more modern style of wishbone suspension, can be bajafied.  Although ignore everything on the tech page as none of its relevant to these Buses :(

This next Bus is a real nice Baja Bus doncha think?  It's a 74 obviously lifted, not sure what method was used but I'd say plates were welded to the torsion bar housing on the front to get that sorta lift.  I do know it's running a 2.0lt engine has a CD player and the interior is also fully trimmed.  How do I know? Well this one's for sale, how much you ask, $14990AUD.  Not cheap but then it's better than buying a new Bus.  Oh Yeah, it's a show Bus, won 6 trophies.  Not the sorta thing I'm normally interested in but it does look real cool and has given me some ideas for my upcoming paint job.
