I am the author of the book " Baja Bound: To Cabo and Back". It is a travelogue/adventure type book of a 16 day road trip adventure where my wife and I drove the whole length of the baja pennisula. It is not meant as a guide book but rather it is a story of discovery and a celebration of baja.
Orginally, I had hoped like most apiring writers that the book would be successful and actually turn a profit. Well, the book has been successful in many ways but I still have lots of them left. I have decided to abandon the commercial aspect of this project and try and get the book into the hands of people who would like to read it rather than having them clutter up my basement. I have posted a similar posting on bajanomad.com with the intent to get the book out to as many people who might be interested in it.

If anyone is interested in learning more about the book or would like a copy - you can find info at http://www.farandawaypub.com. If you would like a copy- click on the ( home page on the left) "baja nomad book special" button. It costs about $4 to ship the book. There is a paypal link to pay for shipping. I would love to give away as many books as possible to those who might like to read it.
Any questions or comments about the book can be directed to bajabound@farandawaypub.com

Hi, my name is Lou. For island, sun and sea lovers, especially if you are visiting Malaysia, may i personally recommend you to a great resort in Pulau Perhentian. I stayed 5days 4nights in this resort called "Perhentian Tunabay Island Resort"

The resort is rated as the #1 Resort in Perhentian Islands. The rooms are simply but nicely furnished, with comfortable beds, aircon and fans and hot water. I went round to a few hotels in the island and I honestly think this resort is the cleanest.

The staff were helpful and pleasant,as in fact were all the people on the island, and the standard of food in the restaurant good- the banana lassi and the Thai soup were especially nice!

I'd recommend this for families, couples, and it has the best cocktails on the islands! Do see it yourself at http://www.tunabay.com.my. Happy Holidays.

They are three huge cities but all have a completely different feel and sights to be seen. The Great Wall at a lower more touristy section in Beijing, Shanghai is an important centre of commerce and finance. Suzhou is fantastic-you will also love the beautiful largest fresh lake. The hotels I booked were so good while I was searching information of China and discovered a website. My tour was a fantastic experience – I hope you enjoy yours too!

My husband and I will be traveling all the way down to the end of Baja next year, we plan on 3 months. We will be driving and camping, we are interested in others that have done this and the best places to go and the ones that you would not return to. We will have our two dogs (they have been to Baja in 06 for a month). We like to surf, fish and walk on the beach, I'm into fishing, will be surf fishing and using a float tube, and may go out on a fishing boat as well, we want to travel both the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific side as well. We are not into anything fancy, no resorts, that is not our speed, we are old beach bums. And like the slow lane, thanks and I hope to hear some of your stories as well. My first trip was to San Felipe in 06 with my two dogs, I drove my Jeep from Oregon and camped on the beach, I was alone and had no problems, I stayed around the fisherman and they were really nice, I always made extra food and gave it to them, and they in return made sure I had plenty of shimp and fish, there is a great place to get clams on the beach I stayed at as well, most everyone was very nice.
Thanks, Wanda

There are several different types of building stone. The most common are granite, marble, limestone, travertine and sandstone. Each stone has unique physical characteristics, which affect its applicability to various building designs. This section describes the characteristics and physical properties of the major building stones.
Granite:
Granite is an igneous rock created deep within the earth from magma, cooled slowly under great pressure. It is the hardest building stone with very dense grain, making it virtually impervious to stain. It takes a highly polished finish, which will endure even in inclement environments. It can also be finished in a variety of other ways. There is a broad spectrum of granite colors ranging from nearly pure white to nearly pure black. During its formation, granite may also have been infused with other minerals providing patterned "movement" as well as color.
Marble:
Marble is a metamorphic rock, composed of metamorphosized limestone. In its purest form, marble is crystalline white calcite. Most marbles, however, are infused with impurities such as dolomite, silica or clay, providing variations in color and significant movement. The base colors of marble range from white to black with a broad range of hues. Marble is significantly softer than granite and therefore subject to greater wear and weathering.

Hey, I'm from the Philippines and I was wondering if anyone can tell me about good deals for a Baja honeymoon. My cousin Donna is getting married - about time, I might add - and I thought that a Baja honeymoon would make an excellent present from the rest of the family.

Any recommendations?
