When is your next Baja trip and where are you going?
My next trip will probably be to Canada in the summer, and then hopefully to La Paz for Christmas and New Year.

Cannot wait, but then I never can!

Hoping to say good bye to the "rat race", leave England and relocate to Baja eventually! Cool

I know what you mean Yaesu! I hope to have a home in Baja someday too!
We are hoping to get to Baja in either October or November, Our shed/guest house is being built and we want to go and use it!!!!

In april, to CSL

I am wishing to do the same as you Yaesu, Do you know where in Baja you would like your house to be?
WE are hopping to buy in Baja! I guess these forums are a good place to meet your potential neighbors! Wink
I've been doing some research on places to visit & available property to buy...I have a few names in mind, but was wondering if anyone knew of any 'definite' areas??

We will be settling in the La Paz area or possibly in Los Barriles (my wifes family own 4 acres of land just of the sea front).

We certainly won't be living in "touristy" areas, rather we will live in amongst the locals.

How about you?

Cheers

Wow that’s great Yaesu! Sounds like you know what you want. I, on the other hand, do not. I know that I don't want to live in a complete tourist destination, but I would not mind a few friendly faces every once in a while.

I am going to take an extended trip to San Felipe to see if I would like living there. I have heard great things about the fishing, golfing, real estate development, and remote beaches, my heart rate is increasing just thinking about these things. I hope I like it as much as I think I will.

Where else should I check out on my trip? How long would it take me to get all the way down to La Paz from San Felipe?

San Felipe is in Baja Norte right?

I've no idea how long it would take you. I guess it depends whether you drive like an local or like a European.

To give you an example, the locals will tell you it takes around 5/6 hours to get from La Paz to Loreto, we do it in 3 1/2! Big Grin

I've never been to Baja Norte, so really I cannot answer but I am sure someone here can. Wink

Of course between Los Barriles and Cabo you have the "East Cape" which would be worth exploring.

Cheers

Y

PS. I should explain that we fly direct to La Paz, hence why I've never been to Baja Norte.
